My Story for Generations

I started my career at Huntington 30 years ago, on June 12, 1986. I needed a job when I went home for the summer after my freshmen year at The Ohio State University. My mom, who was employed by Huntington in Dover, Ohio, shared with me that the bank normally hired two summer tellers and I should apply even though she was not sure if they would hire me since she worked there. I interviewed and got the job that summer, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to work part-time when I came back to Columbus for my sophomore year. Huntington was great to provide tuition reimbursement, so I thought I would at least work until I graduated. It was about two years into my career that I realized this might be something I would really be interested in long term, and I loved the company and the people that worked here. I began to continue to take on new roles to grow my career, and I guess you could say the rest is history!
